Plate Heat Exchangers

A plate heat exchanger is a kind of heat-transfer device that transfers heat between two fluids using a grid of thin metal plates. Usually composed of titanium or stainless steel, the plates are stacked in a series with channels to allow the two fluids to pass through. Heat is transmitted between the fluids as they go through the channels by means of the plate walls. In many different industrial and HVAC applications where small, effective heat transfer is needed, plate heat exchangers are a standard choice. Fusion

Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers

Plate heat exchangers use corrugated plates stacked between a fixed and movable pressure plate. Virtually all material is used for heat transfer, allowing a large heat transfer surface in a compact footprint. PHEs can offer the same thermal capacity as a shell-and-tube exchanger five times larger.
